Grainger County School System Grievance Procedure

For Students, Parents, or Legal Guardians


The Grainger County School system will comply with the grievance procedure as set forth under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.


A grievance must be filed with the school principal within thirty (30) days of the occurrence of the alleged violation. A copy of all grievance procedures is posted in all school offices and may be obtained by request.
